Electric tourist buses in Marrakech for the first time in Africa.


It is on its Facebook page that the municipality of Marrakech has announced that the city Ocher has put into operation electric buses whose number is 4, in the framework of increasing the leadership of Marrakech in the use of clean energy: 2 dedicated to tourist traffic and 2 others for visits to historic monuments. According to a communal official, these buses will not stop next to the famous place Jamaâ el Fna, to avoid the worries with the carriages (Koutchi).

It is a 5-year contract signed with the Alsa Company and an investment of 18 million dirhams. For fares: a 150 Dh ticket valid for 24h, 190 Dh valid 48h and -40% for Moroccans.
